Day 71

Yesterday was so sunny I couldn't help but feel a little bit invincible.

Not invincible enough to stand in front of a train, but I was definitely riding some positive cosmic rays. Perhaps happiness is a photosynthetic process. (Last week, a friend gave me the choice to become any animal in the whole wide world, and my impulsive answer was Sequoiadendron sempervirens).

Well, today it rained. I trudged through a lot of my day, and the feeling was oddly of indifference. It didn't help that I slept about four hours last night. I'm beginning to think that indifference is a kind of deadness. But passion takes so much energy.

More sun forecast for tomorrow. I just need to get through the night. At work, we're taking the kids on a bike ride; it should be fun.
